Israelites – both natural born and in-grafted, were instructed to celebrate the Day of Trumpets forever – regardless their physical location at the time of the 7th new moon of the year. In September of 2011 people flew from as far away as Israel, South Africa, Australia, Europe, and South America to be at the “Rock of Ages” – a rock at the top of Hidden Mountain in the desert of New Mexico where the Ten Commandments, written in ancient Paleo-Hebrew, remembers the day that the trumpets blew on Mount Sinai and the Commandments were shouted down to the Israelites gathered below.
Michael Rood, along with archaeologist Dr. Denis Otero from the University of Albuquerque led the expedition to the mysterious mountain where Biblical language expert, Nehemia Gordon, from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, deciphered the ancient Hebrew inscriptions that have mystified western scholars since their discovery.
Join Michael Rood and an excited cast of hundreds as they journey up the mountain to sight the new moon of Yom Teruah – the Day of Trumpets. In the dimming twilight, Rood and Gordon rehearse their roles in the recent restoration of the Biblical Hebrew calendar in the land of Israel. They take you to the petroglyphs which depict an eclipse that was seen from that very mountain 2,300 years ago and trek to the wind-swept summit where the name of the God of Israel is etched into stone.
This mountain top experience set the stage for Michael Rood’s keynote address at the Albuquerque Convention Center as he took us to the REAL mount Sinai and clarified “The Covenant” that was delivered from the fiery summit – the subsequent breaking of that Covenant – and the prophetic provision for the renewal of the Covenant. The Gospel of the Kingdom will come to life as you relive this life-changing, Mount Sinai experience, at the ‘Rock of Ages’ – the Mountain of the Los Lunas Decalogue.
