Hockin' a Chanak on Hankkah
Join Michael Rood in this audio recording of “Hockin’ a Chanak” on Hanukkah - exposing false traditions and revealing prophetic realities concerning Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication. Each winter Israelites scattered around the globe celebrate the Feast of Dedication – in Hebrew: Hanukkah, the festive occasion in which we recall our deliverance from pagan sun-god worship. Hanukkah is one of the festivals that Yahshua kept, and a festival that his followers cherish to this very day. While the man-made religious systems of the world attempt to force the believer to join in their self-sanctified rituals, Hanukkah reminds us that the Almighty fights for those who would keep themselves pure from the pollutions of idolatry. Yahshua tells us that the first abomination of desolation placed in the Jerusalem Temple was a prophetic shadow picture of an even greater abomination that would confront the believer in the last days. Yahshua’s prophetic warning is no longer in the distant future, but is reiterated in the context of the accomplished deception in which the world finds itself today. Prepare for A Rood Awakening! from Israel, as Michael Rood unfolds the prophetic realities of the abomination of desolation in relation to the final prophetic fulfillment of Hanukkah.
Apocrypha
The traditional Hanukkah story of the miracle of the oil and the menorah is a cute tradition but has no foundation in scripture. The nine branched menorah known as a "Hanukkiah" is a relatively modern invention. The true story of Hanukkah is prophesied in the seventh and eighth chapters of the Book of Daniel. The fulfillment of this prophecy is explicitly detailed in the First and Second Book of Maccabees, which are found in the writings of the Apocrypha.
Originally the writings of the Apocrypha were simply understood to be additional books of the Bible. The Eastern Orthodox Church as well as the Roman Catholic Church recognized the Apocrypha as a part of their Canon of Scriptures. The reformers, however, recognized the dubious origin of several of these writings and therefore designated them as being important historical documents, written during the time between the Old and New Testaments, but did not recognize these writings as having the same authority as the Scriptures. Most early English translations of the Bible included the writings of the Apocrypha and located them appropriately between the Old and New Testament. Later, publishers, however, feared that the presence of these writings between the covers of the Holy Bible would give these writings credibility and authority in the minds of believers and therefore omitted these historically significant writings from their Bibles.
We are pleased to make these writings available to you in this hardback King James Version. We highly recommend this valuable resource not only for reading the true story of Hanukkah, but also for great insight into the times and writings leading up to the life of Yeshua the Messiah. This is a valuable resource for any student of the Scriptures.
