“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.” -- Genesis 2:1–3

The biblical tithe is one of the most discussed—and least understood—subjects in Scripture. 🤔

Dear Member: For centuries, believers have been taught different—and often conflicting—views about the tithe. Was it a monetary contribution? Who received it? Was there more than one tithe? And how do these biblical instructions relate to believers today?

In this study, The Biblical Tithe: Then and Now, we return to the Scriptures to examine the original purpose of the tithe, its recipients, and its role within the covenant community of Israel. By exploring the Torah and the historical context in which these instructions were given, we can better distinguish between biblical teaching and later traditions. Join us as we seek a clearer understanding of this important and often misunderstood subject.

Shalom and thank you to all our faithful supporters! Your prayers and generosity help make it possible to share the message of the Torah and the Messiah with people around the world through the Michael Rood App and our various outreach ministries.

This week’s Torah portion, Korach, reminds us that true authority is not established by popularity or personal ambition, but by the calling and appointment of Yehovah. Korach’s rebellion against Moses and Aaron serves as a powerful warning about the consequences of rejecting the order that God has established. The portion also addresses the support of the Levitical and priestly service, leading naturally into the often-misunderstood subject of tithes and offerings. If you would like to explore what the Scriptures actually teach about biblical tithing, we invite you to read our in-depth study available on the A Rood Awakening website. Join us as we uncover timeless lessons on humility, obedience, leadership, and faithfulness to Yehovah’s instructions.

Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘I'm gonna snatch you up by the hair of your head?’  In modern verbiage, it usually means you're about to get a whippin'! 🙀 Or at least that's what it means where I come from. Well, in Ezekiel 8, while Zeke (Ezekiel) was seated around the elders of Judah, the hand of the LORD YHVH fell upon him! He saw the likeness of a Man of fire❤️‍🔥 👑 and brightness. He stretched out the form of a hand, and ‘took Zeke by a lock of hair’…. Thus, the former quote 😉. However, in Biblical days, it was an honor because Zeke was taken up between heaven and earth and shown some powerful prophetic visions.👀  Kinda funny how many quotes we hear today are literally taken from Scripture, but used totally out of context! Can you think of any⁉️ Feel free to leave your comments 🗣️

RETURN TO THE TORAH

When John the Baptist cried out, “Repent!”, he was not calling people to feel guilty for a moment.

The biblical concept behind repentance is teshuvah—to turn back, to return to the Torah.

In Scripture, repentance is more than confession; it is a change of direction. It is leaving behind our own ways and returning to the instructions of Yehovah. That is why John demanded, “Produce fruit worthy of repentance.” True repentance is visible. It changes how we live, how we worship, and how we obey.

The mikveh (immersion) was the outward sign of that inward decision. Going down into the water symbolized leaving the old life behind and emerging with a renewed commitment to walk in God's ways.

Repentance was never meant to be words alone. It was meant to produce fruit.

“Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” — Matthew 3:2

Calling all intercessors!!!! One of the most important weapons we have in our arsenal is prayer. Not only is it a tool and a gift, but a highly honored privilege. The Creator of Heaven and Earth allows us access into the courts of heaven in proxy of others, to stand in the gap between realms and see the hand of YHVH move in strength and power! There are those standing in need, and you may be the one to touch the hem of HIS garment on their behalf. Please visit our prayer wall and let your voice be heard! And... feel free to leave a request as well.

Here we go again... never a dull moment in YHVH's time clock and calendar. We are in a season of transitioning from one season to the other, Spring to Summer, and all the benefits and challenges it can bring. A time to be outside and enjoy the sunshine and summer activities, but also there is the heat and bugs!🦟😏 (in most areas). We move cautiously into the 4th month. Biblically, it is a time of great provision and horrible reports. In Exodus 32, what was meant to be a beautiful unveiling of the Tabernacle plans so YHVH could dwell with His people became one of the most devastating events in all of humankind... when the Israelites lost focus and built the infamous golden calf.  Then there was the event of the spies that came back with the evil report, when YHVH specifically told them, 'I'VE got you! Don't be afraid!!!' However, there were 2 with a different spirit, Joshua and Caleb, and we are grateful for these two warriors! According to The Creators Calendar, it is also the month that Yeshua preached His first sermon on the Mount, as well as healed a leper! During this season, be careful what you give your focus to.. if you feel yourself meditating on the lack and chaos instead of the daily benefits and Protector, ask YHVH for the same spirit that Joshua and Caleb had! And Fear Not!  💪⚔️

We are overcomers!

Romans 8;29-31

Because those whom He knew beforehand, He also ordained beforehand to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, for Him to be the first-born among many brothers.

30 And whom He ordained beforehand, these He also called, and whom He called, these He also declared right. And whom He declared right, these He also esteemed.

31 What then shall we say to this? If Elohim is for us, who is against us?

Elohim is the very first name revealed in Scripture — before covenant, before commandments, before Israel, before humanity itself. The story opens by establishing the One who holds all authority: the Creator, the Judge, the One who speaks order into chaos. When we say Elohim, we anchor ourselves in this foundation. The world is not random; it is the intentional work of a mighty and sovereign God who shapes reality by His word. Faith begins where the Scriptures begin — with Elohim, the Creator of heaven and earth.
