Surgery, whether emergency or planned, can be a necessary and even life-changing experience — but it places tremendous stress on the body. Yet the amazing truth is that YeHoVaH created the human body with an incredible ability to heal.

Scripture reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Our bodies are not random machines; they are carefully designed systems that respond to injury by cleaning, rebuilding, and restoring. After surgery, the body immediately goes into repair mode, requiring extra energy, nutrients, and support.

One of the keys to recovery is understanding that healing requires the right building blocks:

• Protein, collagen, vitamins, and minerals all play important roles in rebuilding tissue.

• Vitamin C helps the body produce collagen — the framework needed for repairing skin, blood vessels, bones, and connective tissue.

• Vitamin D, magnesium, and vitamin K also support the body’s ability to rebuild and maintain healthy bones and immune function.
  
  But healing is not only physical. YeHoVaH designed us as whole beings — body, mind, and spirit.
  
  Stress, fear, and poor nutrition can hinder recovery, while peace, gratitude, and trust in Him strengthen us during difficult seasons. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart does good like medicine.”
  
  Preparing the body before surgery can make a difference. When possible, improving nutrition, reducing processed foods and excess sugar, supporting healthy blood flow, and ensuring adequate nutrients can help create a stronger foundation for recovery.
  
  After surgery, patience is essential. Healing takes time, and the body needs proper rest, nourishment, and care. Rather than fighting against the way YeHoVaH designed us, we can support His workmanship by making wise choices.
  
  Your body is a gift from the Creator. As you recover, remember that every cell working to repair, every breath you take, and every step toward strength reflects the incredible wisdom of YeHoVaH’s design.

A Promise of Covenant

Genesis 9:12,16

 And Elohim said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for all generations to come: 13 “I shall set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 “And it shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud, 15 and I shall remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and never again let the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 “And the rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I shall see it, to remember the everlasting covenant between Elohim and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”

Verse of the Week: John 5:6

“Yeshua said to him, ‘Do you want to be healed?’”

Yeshua’s question to the man at Bethesda is simple, but it reaches far beneath the surface. He is not merely asking whether the man would prefer relief from pain. He is confronting him at the place of long disappointment, deferred hope, and helplessness.

This man had been afflicted for thirty-eight years. He was near the water, near the place where healing was expected, and yet he remained unchanged. He was close to hope, but powerless to take hold of it. In many ways, this is the condition of every human heart apart from the mercy of Yehovah. We may be near religious things, near truth, near promises, and still remain unable to restore ourselves.

Yeshua does not give the man a method. He does not tell him to work harder, move faster, or finally reach the pool. Instead, Yeshua Himself becomes the place of encounter. The healing is not ultimately in the water. The healing is in the King.

The man’s answer reveals how suffering can reshape the way we see reality. “I have no one,” he says. He sees only his limitations: no helper, no access, no strength, no way forward. But standing before him is the Son of David, the promised Messiah, the One through whom Yehovah will restore all things spoken by the prophets.

Yeshua speaks, and the man rises.

This is a glimpse of the Kingdom breaking into the present age. The lame walk. The broken are restored. The powerless are raised up. It is a sign pointing forward to the day when Yeshua returns, Israel is restored, the nations come under His righteous rule, and the whole earth is filled with the knowledge of Yehovah.

Yet Yeshua’s question still confronts us personally. Do we truly want to be healed, or have we grown comfortable with our brokenness? Do we want the blessings of the Kingdom while resisting surrender to the King? Do we want comfort only, or do we want restoration under His authority?

True healing is not merely improvement. It is not simply relief from difficult circumstances. It is being made whole according to the purposes of Yehovah. It is allowing Yeshua to speak into the places that have been paralyzed by fear, disappointment, sin, and unbelief.

So, this week, bring the paralyzed places honestly before Yehovah. Do not hide behind excuses, delay, or disappointment. Listen for the voice of Yeshua, obey what He says, and remember that every act of healing now points to the coming day when Messiah returns and all things are restored under His righteous reign.

Today we pause to honor the Father above all fathers — the One who formed us, knows us, and calls us His own.
His patience is deeper than oceans. His mercy outlasts our wandering. His love is the anchor that never moves.
